Recognising a flickering LED

LEDs like any other product come in varying qualities and lighting. A poor quality LED that flickers can cause seizures, harm your health especially your eyes.

Flickering is when an LED doesn’t emit a constant light. This is due to poor circulation in electricity by poor electrical components. An unstable flickering light is harmful to eyes, more specifically to the retina. This is why LEDthelife only offer flicker-free LEDs!

A very simple way to notice if an LED flickers is to film it with a smartphone or camera. If lines appear on your screen, then it is a sign that the light is flickering. On the other hand, if the light is uniform then this demonstrates that the LED light is constant and flicker-free.
